Default After Chrismas Zumo 450 Sales

When shopping for a Zumo 450, what should come with the unit included in the price?

Oooh, you gonna bite the bullet and buy one eh? I bought the 450 awhile ago and am planning to get the car cradle that comes with the 550, except I'm going to get the Harley car cradle and save some cash with my dealer discount. I didn't need bluetooth so I didn't go with the 550

Good question, as when you buy from Broadway Photo or any of a number of other scam outfits mostly in NYC you may be attracted by a low price only to find some parts are missing. I.e., for $299 (or whatever) you might get the Zumo, but no cradle, harness, battery, Ram mount, etc.--for which they hit you with extra charges. Caveat Emptor for any offer <$350, except from established sellers. When Costco put the 450 up for $350 I didn't hesitate because I knew they were an honest outfit, although the price did seem too good to be true at the time. For sellers you're not familiar with it wouldn't hurt to check them out at Resellerratings.com

The 450 comes with everything on HDUltraRider's list except the auto-mounting paraphernalia, custom caps, and AC adapter. The black caps look good on my SG, so I bought them for $17. The auto mount can be purchased on Ebay for about $60, and the AC adapter for $5 (any 120AC-USB 5V adapter will do).

450 should include the bike mount, Wiring, Software for your computer (MapSource) cable to connect to computer, instruction manual, and quick start guide. Also the security screwdriver.

550 also has car mount.

Are these unit easily removed from the bike?
How secure are they?
Do you feel comfortable walking away from your bike with it in plain sight?
What is needed to swap it to a cage?

If you haven't guessed by now, I am totally in the dark about these things. I was at the dealer yesterday and I was playing with the MoCo version on display. I was like a kid with a new GameBoy. My wife had to drag me outta there,,,
