Cool Factory warranty extended by Harley

I am looking at an 09 Ultra, I was told that the new bikes have a 2 year warranty with unlimited mileage (My 05' only had one year I think), i was also told that Harley was adding extra months up to 6 depending on what month you bought the bike starting in December. So since I am getting the bike tomorrow (26th) I will get 2 years and 6 months factory warranty.

Anybody else hear about this?

Two years is the standard warranty and they have added some additional months for purchases through the end of '08. I bought mine just before Thanksgiving (11/24) and got 4 months extended warranty for a total of 28 months.

i believe they 'extended' the warranty from one year to two back in 04. haven't heard about the additional months added on, but they did do me a solid after i bought my bike way back when. i deployed about 5 months before my factory warranty expired, and they extended the warranty to 5 months after i returned from deployement. i thought that was pretty standup of them. of course, i didn't need it, but it was good to know.

Sounds like a sales gimmick. Sales are very slow these days.

Bought mine in Feb. and I went ahead and payed for the extended warrenty which will give you four years. Yes there are no mileage restrictions. Mine has already payed off, had to replace the front tire cost me 50.00. And that is labor to install it.

I bought a service plan on the wifes, I didn't want her out by herself and something happen. She takes her bike and has had it serviced and I don't worry too much, as so far so good. Worth it to me. And it is thru the local dealer, but still worth it to me.

I bought mine in late Nov. and got the additional 4 months added onto the 2 years. They said that with it being winter, the MOCO extends the policies out until April.

Did the Dealer do this or was it just extended via the MoCo. Reason I ask is I just picked up my 09 a few days ago, and the Dealer didn't mention it. So, do i go back and ask, or will I get a notice of extension straight from HD?

Thanks, geeded

It's from the MOCO. Contact your dealer.
