Is it just known that since I bought an 09' yesterday that the warranty is extended, or should I have gotten something in writing?

 

I think 06 was the first year with 2 years.

 

I know 05' was one year, thats why i bought an extended warranty, for all the good it did. Supposedly I will be getting money back from both the extended warranty and the tire coverage. We shall see.

 

All the new bikes have the warranty extended so the 2 years starts next April 1. I guess they don't want people waiting to buy a new bike becuase of the warranty. Take what you can get.

Your dealer should have showed you a paper with the extention and had you sign it.
I just did mine today

 

I did not get anything in writing but the both the sales person as well as the Business Manager told me about the extended months of coverage. Also, this is from the MOCO, not the dealer.

 

Same deal here, my dealer said Harley extends the warranty on all bikes bought Dec-Mar til April of 2011.

 

The '08 models also have the 2 year warranty with unlimited mileage.

 

My 05 Softail had a 2 year unlimited mileage warrentee, plus I got the 5 year extended, which brings it to 2012. I may try to trade both my bikes in on a new one this year if the deals are good.

 

Either way I was told that I can buy the extended warrant before my factory warranty runs out. I guess that will depend on how much I use the factory warranty in the mean time.
