Default Eastern Performance Rocks - New Wheels Arrived - Merry Christmas!

I ordered a set of new RC Component Wheels from Eastern eBay Sale a couple weeks ago and got to tell everyone that Eastern Performance Cycle rocks when it comes to online business. Brian and John kept me informed of the order while it was being manufactured, shipped to them, sizes/tires of my choice being mounted up and when they were shipped to me.

Even with a small delay or two they phoned and kept me advised which was awesome service. They shipped them UPS Express on the 22nd and they arrived mnutes ago and just in time for Christmas to Western Canada. Can't say enough about the service these guys provide, and the quality of the wheels are outstanding.

Now before you guys who love the big wheels start flaming, I had a choice of size and ordered 16" x 180 rear and a 17" x 130 front with Dunlop D407 rubber to keep the geometry and style Stock to my 09 FLHX. This going to be my dedicated touring sled and it's going to see a lot of cross continent mileage so I wanted things stock, and prefer this style for my daily cruiser. I am also building a 200 rear FXR drag style bike and that one will get the big wheels a few months down the road when it goes together. Here are a couple pics before I get them mounted up.

Thanks Eastern! (begin flaming)

Look'n good!

I actually think you did the right thing by getting size you did.

I recently pulled the 18" rear wheel off mine and went back to the 16".

I for one think you got the absolute best size rims! The wheels look great! Just how wide is the rear 16?

Rear is a 180 tire on a stock 5.50 wheel. If you go to a 6.25 x 18 rear you can squeeze a 200 in there so I'm told. Guess I'll leave that the the upcoming FXR.

If and when I decide on new wheels, I will also keep the stock sizes......If your using the bike as a tourer it only makes sense to keep the geometry the same....

FYI: Metz 200/60-16 allows 5.5" rim.

Thanks for the info, Glideman! I didn't even know that RC had 5.5" wide 16" wheels. I learned something new today. I've also heard that you can squeeze a 6.25 x 17 with a 200 tire in also, but like you said, you'll always be able to find the stock tires while tripping. BTW, the wheels look great!
