You know for all the features these new HK stereos are supposed to have, it sure seems they should have kept it on the shelf a while longer till they were properly tested. I can't believe all the problems that I read about them. [:'(] The old radio sound units were much more dependable. Glad I have aftermarket...none of the headaches, at a fraction of the cost.

jomedic, give what lil_gmac said to try a shot. It might work. You could even try really powering everything down (meaning, disconnecting the battery as well). Other than that, you're kindof screwed. I would take it to a good auto stereo install shop first. Check around and see if any local shops have installed stereo's on bikes; that way if they have to yank the fairing off, at least you can feel better about it (the only reason I had Audio Express do my aftermarket was because the installer had worked on several custom Glides, and put stuff in like amps and subs into the saddlebags and tourpaks).
