My dealer has a lot of large prints on the walls of the showroom showing various vintage bikes, scenes, parts etc. One that caught my eye two years ago when I bought my bike was the one below. It's the exhaust system from a 1929 JDH, which had a twin cam 74 inch F head engine. I remember thinking when I saw that photo "Now why doesn't Harley put something similar to that on their big bikes instead of that funky split pipe deal?"

And what do you know, for the 09 models, they did! The more things change the more they stay the same.

 

They finally listened to you.
