I have an 09 Ultra. I want to replace the stock turn signal bar on the back end with that off of the Streetglide. I took a look at the Streetglide fender at the dealer and noticed that it is smooth where the turn signal bar bolts on. On the Ultra, there are dimples, for lack of a better description, where the signal bar mounts. Am I going to have any issues mounting the Streetglide bar on my Ultra due to the slight difference in fender?

I would guess that they will be coming out with the SG style bar for the 09's like they did for the earlier model years. My 06 has the SG style turn signals on it.

 

Take a look at the rear signal bar from an SE Ultra and see if the fender has "dimples"

 

I have the bar. I'm just waiting on a couple of other parts before I start the install.

Check out Kuryakyn. They had that bar before HD did. I put one on my Road King a couple of years back . See if they have the 09 version . Their lights are cool.

 

I went out and held the new bar up to the bike. Looks like it will be fine. Won't know for sure until I take off the stock one, but like I said, still waiting on a couple of parts.
