Here is what I am going with. So I can stay with the light traveling of a tent and stay off the ground and more comfortable. If you just want to get off the ground I think it is worth a try. Going to Daytona and I will be camping and using this cot and a sleeping bag. Can easily carry Bag, tent, and cot on my Street glide. Just a thought for ya.

Pulled a Time Out for fifteen years on two different EVO Tour Glides .. Loaded down with me an Sweetie , the saddlebags and tour pak full , and the camper full , you can store a lot in it when its collapsed .. Got 38 mpg running 70-80 mph , normal was about 42 mpg without the camper ..
The second TG pulled it quite a bit with the European Pulley in the rear .. 61 tooth vs 70 tooth .. Other than having to slip the clutch a bit to get 'er rolling never a problem on the road .. The only time I really noticed the weight is slow speed parking lot maneuvers ..
Do Not neglect the tires or bearing buddies , I carried a small grease gun and checked the bearings at every stop ..
However if the caca comes down on the road you're screwed ..
