I have lots of questions, and know curiousity killed the cat....but I gotta know, LOL. Again, Great job and excellent post.

This sure beats how to put air in a bagger rear tire, LOL....
The entire package is from Head-Quarters. This kit uses their HQ-575 grind. I believe Kevin posted specs, but he's the link to all the cams: http://www.head-quarters.com/camstwin.html . There is no need for advance or retard keys when you have the right grind for the build.

Pistons are CP flat-tops, made to HQ spec. Static CR is 10.5:1. I did not check CCP because when it left my place the rings had yet to fully seat ~ we finished that up on the dyno, 1st thing.

Great point on deck height! On these, it is not ususally ZERO. HQ has pistons to resolve the issue. Because they were ZERO, I used .030 Cometic head gaskets ~ included in the kit too.

Thanks for the feedback!

I enjoyed talking to Phil regarding the build. One knowledgeable individual and great guy!

Kevin .. enjoy riding that bike. One piece of advice ... don't smile too much when riding because it will take you all day to pick all the bugs out of your teeth
Likewise, Ed! I am really glad you had the chance to stop by. I enjoyed chatting with you too.

Did you really mean 7600 mile on bicycle THIS YEAR? )

Let me know when ya wanna get to work on that SG. We can to the exact same thing we did on Kevin's.

Aren't you enticed in the slightest?
You know me dude... I am ALWAYS up for a ride ~ particularly in your neck-O-the-woods.

Only catch is that I've have to hang out while we send the case to Darkhorse for setup. Shux!

That torque is INCREDIBLE!!! I have my parts out to HQ right now for a baby 98" ST kit!
Man, I still can't get over that torque curve.
Are you running the OEM intake and throttle body? OEM injectors?

Hey Phil, what did your "break in run" consist of???

Sounds like you've found your following Phil, and I'd suspect from some of these posts that your phone's gonna be ringing more after the holidays. I tore down the 124 and the case is ready to ship to Darkhorse for a work over, then it's going back together with higher compression to get everything out of the build. Shooting for near to 145/145 this time around and plan to mount it into a custom FXR frame. That should make it plenty fast! Have a merry Christmas Phil!
