HQ107ST build for GliderXXX
#12
I had the opportunity to meet Phil and Kevin when they were dyno tuning Kevin's bike. The smile on Kevin's face was as large as Texas. This build is a torque monster. Cannot wait to do a build with Phil in the future.
I enjoyed talking to Phil regarding the build. One knowledgeable individual and great guy!
Kevin .. enjoy riding that bike. One piece of advice ... don't smile too much when riding because it will take you all day to pick all the bugs out of your teeth

Great Job Guy's! Big TQ #'s too! I am curious,... What cams did you go with and what was the lift and duration? Did you use advance 2-4 degree keys? Do you know the final cc of the heads? Flat top pistons, any compression #'s for static & dynamic ...did you use a 30/40 head gasket? Zero deck height on a TC96...isn't that NOT normal for the TC96, most being down in the bore? I have lots of questions, and know curiousity killed the cat....but I gotta know, LOL. Again, Great job and excellent post.
This sure beats how to put air in a bagger rear tire, LOL....

-HQ 575 .575 Lift 240 Intake and 256 exhaust duration.

-No
Do you know the final cc of the heads? Flat top pistons, any compression #'s for static & dynamic
-Not sure of the final cranking compression. It's a 10:5-1 build with flat tops
...did you use a 30/40 head gasket?
-30

-I'll let Phil chime in here
Again, Great job and excellent post.
He did a great job! All of these components are part of HQ's 107 sport touring kit

That is correct. I was telling Phil before we left to go over to Ed's that I would be happy with 115/110, mainly becasue after so many other builds where I've been disappointed vs surprised. I'm thrilled with these numbers and while haven't put too many miles on it yet, the initial reaction is awesome, in the truest sense of the word.
