Default Fork Oil Injector

I'm assuming that using the HD or after market fork oil syringe injector that the forks have to be off of the bike and sitting in a vertical position???

I know that the oil can be injected with the device but I'm thinking that the 4.92" from the top of the fork tube will not be accurate with the forks mounted on the bike.

I probably answered my own question but I need some assurance.

Got the injector pretty cheap on e-bay, so if it doesn't work, it can just sit next to the belt tension gauge in the tool box and look pretty.

Putting in the SE Heavy to eliminate the diving when braking.

I have the instructions using the funnel and tubing but I figured this would be easier.

If anything, I can use the device to inject the fork oil in. Might take a few times but at least I can measure the exact amount going in.

I replaced the folk oil using iClicks instructions on my 08 SG. I'd check to make sure the fluid amounts are the same for the 09's thou.

i bought a cheap measuring cup from the dollar store. whats the difference between putting 11.1 oz (road king) in the measuring cup and pouring it through the funnel, or putting 11.1 oz in an injector and squirting it in? the residual amount left in the cup is almost negligible.
