Well as one that is retired now and luckily didn't have my 401K crapped on .. Company would match 50% up to 10% of your wages taken out ... in otherwords with company match was able to save 15% for over 20 years .. You can still contribute to your own IRA won't be as sweet as the 401K .. but still will see you through later on in life.. Sorry this happened but will have to hope the company did this to save your job and not out of greed...

NEWSFLASH: Ur employer don't owe u squat. Safe to say u've never owned a company. Get with the program...cuz the game has no rules. It goes both ways. So u don't like how I getcha in the door, then change stuff up. I'll show ur happy *** the door w/ a pink slip. Go 2 work bitchin & moanin 4 someone else or just draw ur UI bennys. I don't need ur type cuz there's always someone behind u in line.

The company I have worked for was bought out and we lost most of
our benifits. We never had a pension plan though but used to have some profit
sharing.
My health ins for a single person cots me $195.00 a month.
BUT I still have a job and we need to get used to working more for less $.
I am two years from retirement and will have to live on $1,300.00 a month
when I retire and will only have medicare.

Not much we cam do about it now.

It seems I read somewhere a couple weeks ago that many of the illegal's are headin back to Mexico and that the Mexican Banks are cryin because the large influx of US dollars that they were sending back to support their families is not comming in. Putting a crunch on the Mexican Economy
