The Ultra premium sound system. I bet your dealer can hook $$ you up.

Well thats a +1 for the UC then but a -1 for HD who could easily have made this option work on all their radios that have Weather Band. I'll bet its nothing more then a software update too. How chincy of HD to omit that from the EGs and Road Glides etc.

Oh well, its not too hard to listen to the weather on those days when a thunder boomer might build in. I wouldn't buy an UC just for this feature.

Although I have the weather band configured to alert me, I have never heard the weather radio sound an alert as I normally listen to the iPod or a CD, the manual explains how to use this feature...

Kinda like this...Put the radio in WB mode and use the soft key next to the word alert and highlight it (make it black). Manual says it will alert you when listening to the other radio bands...

you may not have a UC but it is an EG,someone with a SG said they did not have the feature either. I went to the web site to check it out and it seems like all the radios have the same software,or else there would be different softwares for different bikes. They all have the same functions,it just depends on what you have hooked up to them.

Interested in this as well, would be a good feature to have. I will check my 08 RG tonight but I do not remember seeing an "ALERT" option anywhere. I though they were all the same head unit and software unless you got Sat or Nav?

Quite honestly, its nothing short of rediculous to equip the radio with Weather Band and not to allow the ALERT function to be functionable. Something just ain't right there....

I have a 2007 EG Classic, and have the same problem.

Hope that someone has a solution.

Got a call back this afternoon and they couldn't give me an explaination. They said that it was working on a bike by bike basis. Didn't matter what year. He is calling a Harley Tech. and will be getting back to me.
