To activate the alert feature you need to push the # "1" on the keypad next to "ALERT".
This sets the alert feature active.

In Oklahoma our weathermen issue an alert every time there's three clouds on the horizon. Glad 06s don't have this feature. If mine did, I would disable it.

As I posted before, I was reading the owners manual when I got the bike and I saw the feature. I went out to the garage and tried to get it to work and I couldn't get the ALERT to come up. Since I was so enamored with my purchase I lost interest and put it on the back burner. I think it's time to go to the garage right now!

Yeah, same result! No ALERT! Maybe I will call the dealer today.

Yea, I don't see the ALERT feature either. Yet the owners manual seems to indicate that this feature should be there. I put it on WB and tried all the soft keys and do not see the alert text ever come up. WKENDDAD can you walk us through to make sure we are doing this right?

I just went to the garage and tried mine. I do not get the "alert" option either. This has me curious. I will be watching to see if anyone has the solution or if this option is even on my stereo.

It seems that I have seen a post inquiring about this before. If I remember correctly, only the Ultra actually has this feature, although the manual does not make it clear.

I just tried it on my '08 EGC and as soon as I selected the WX band the word ALERT came up next to the #1 key.
