Forget the break-in period as long as you and wifey are OK. I'm sure both of you learned your "Get on the Saddle, Nice and Easy-101" lessons and move on.

Sorry to hear about that, Sounds like you need to have a talk with your Wife about getting on and off the Bike and what to do and what not to do!

Like my wife would tell me, it's good to see that you know what you did wrong. At least you're admitting your mistake......... What would we do without them?

so here's what my wife did:

Monday - 6pm - bought the bike
Tuesday - 7am- decide to take bike to work
Tuesday - 7:15am - a combination of factors (different clutch, different brakes, tall seat)
(..mentally add to this list to save face..)
Tuesday - 7:16am - begin the descent to Starboard.
Tuesday - 7:17am - wife is on back screaming "we are falling, HOLD THE BIKE UP, i told you, HOLD THE BIKE UP"

she never got off till i laid the bike down, then she got off, and said "WHY DID YOU NOT HOLD IT UP LIKE I SAID"

good grief!!!

we can trade wives if you want, send me your address, and I will send you mine first....
we lived over by Menchville High School in Newport News, she will like it there...

i don't think your OL would like it here, maybe you could keep them both?

What I don't understand is how you went 35 years without dropping your ride.
They say there are only two types of bikers, "Those that dropped their ride, and those that will".
