Lowering kit

Hi Gary here new to to the Forum , I just bought a new 2009 Road Glide , being very vertically challenged , ( Short ) , 26-27 insean , Yes I could have been in the Wizard of Oz, I had a 2003 rod King got my first taste of lowering touring bikes , I have tried it all lowering kits ( all of them ) Lowered Shocks , Air shock systems , the best combination I have found is the Mustang Solo Seat W/ driver backrest , I have a New Reach Seat on my new Glide , It is up for sale , just not low enough the Mustang is more comfortable and will sit 1 1/2 to 1/3/4 inches lower than the reach Seat , Best Lowering kit is the New Pingel touring kit , #62140 , It does lower 1 full inch , and it is Billet steel once piece , and has angle cut that does not let the lower shock arm rub against it , On the Road Glide , the Handlebars Suck , for Short Arms Tried Lowered shock , ride awful, Try it , It works Gary , My 2009 Road Glide has got the most sensitive throtlle in history I think , FBW, give your opinion !!!

Hi gary here just bought a 2009 road glide , first all , i should have test the 22009 and the 2008 , I would have bought the 2008 I am 5' 6. short legs , I have done the following : Pingel makes the best full 1 inch lowering kit better made all of them tried them on my old 03 road king , wish I still had too , I tried the Reach seat felt good till about 100 miles , then a butt killer , Best bars are the Krome Werks 2 plus sweep[er best I have ever seen and felt , the shocks on the 2009 toruing ride stiffer and not as comfortable as the older ones, the 2 inch wider rear part of the frame is a KILLER for short people trust I know , Roder my friend's 2008 ultra classic and beats mine to death Gary

Hi all
Has anyone put a good set of Progressive shocks on their bike? I would love to know how they compare in ride quality to the stock air shocks. I would also like to drop it an other inch at the same time. Does anyone know the length I would need to go down an inch on an 09 SG? The alternative was to send the shocks to Phoenix Customs to shorten but wonder if changing to good standard shocks would be better?
Thanks.
