[/QUOTE]Anyway, the plot thickens. The more we got to talking about her becoming a rider, the more I am warming up to the idea. But being 5' 3" and about a buck-fifteen she’s a little concerned about being able to handle a bigger machine. So I got out the Ride Like A Pro DVD and let her watch Donna Palladino handling an Ultra like it was a moped.

So in one day we’ve already gone from talking Dyna to talking Touring. Then she’s gonna want to load it with goodies and I don’t have a leg to stand on to argue with that.

I'm in the boat with you, bud. The wife took the BRC in Nov, we bought her a XL1200L about three weeks ago and just got back from 2 weeks in Destin, FL, where we had trailered the bikes so she could get some riding time in. The weather did not cooperate, so we spend a bunch of time (and money) in the Harley shops in Ft Walton and Pensacola. Six months ago, if I mentioned buying something for my bike or even going to the HOG shop, I'd get a big from frown. Now, she's the one wanting to stop in every store and look for stuff for her bike. And then there's the clothes...

A Heritage seems to be good bike for height challenged folks.

I LOVED my Heritage.

My wife is a newer rider. About 2500 miles since spring of 2007. She has had three bikes. in order. Xl1200L, Honda 250 Rebel, Xl1200L again, and now a 07 Heritage. Lowered front and back. She loves the Heritage and we should have started with it probably. Anyway there are many post here regarding this just search and you shall have all the information you want.

Same thing happened to me--But I did it a little different. I gave her my 06 RK and bought me an 09 Ultra.
Riding is even better now.

Thumbs up

I'm looking forward to mine. Be able to access both bags much easier and clean it easier too.

Anybody heard how many they've sold? I talked to sales yesterday when I ordered mine and she said she'd sold 30 that day alone. I'm gonna say it was a good move sponsoring this forum
