my rear tire is time for a change... i used to run metzlers on previous sportster and wide glide... loved them

more concerned about handling and not following road imperfections than i am with mileage.. i live in southern alabama....so ride mostly here and florida and occasional trips toward tenn and ga

so most very hot pavement sometimes roads not quite the condition of when i lived in northern calif

 

I put Metzelers on my 07 Road Glide and it make a big difference in how the bike handles and rides. They do not follow the road groves like the Dunlops did.

 

ty you very much... i am going with the metzler....is it true i can go one size wider on metzler than a dunlop?

 

i heard the new compound on the dunlop tires is not as sticky as the metzlers

My wife is running Elite 3's on her Electra Glide. As soon as I need tires mine will be getting them also. She says the tar snakes are no bother any more and her rear tire has better then 10,000 miles on it and still has another 1500-2000 left.

just got the metzler on...rode around about 30 miles...and i love it!! handles so much smoother.... tight corners at few traffic lights on hywy where i live a re a breeze now..instead of really workin the turn!!

 

I switched from avons to Metzelers on the Electra Glide this month. A great set of tires.

Regarding size, I put the exact same size tires on 140/70-18. The avon rubbed the belt, but the Metzeler of the same exact size is actually much thinner and was nowhere near rubbing the belt.
