I don't think all 1200 engines sport Buell heads. I know very little about the 2004-up bikes, but I know the 2003-back bikes don't sport Buell heads.

So what is red line on a newer Sportster? I didn't think they turned much faster than a Big Twin.

All i know is that at 50, i sure am glad i'm not on a sportster. It wouldn't haul my wife's shoes and outfits for a weekend ride. Thanks Ultra.

I thought the MC did that so they could sell them. That way when you look at the numbers on paper you can feel better about purchasing a small motorcycle, and of course when your called out for riding a b*%ch bike you can promptly reply with, 'Its faster than your geezer glide'

Im just messin with ya sporty guys, no need to get your feathers ruffled. I had a 883 for the wife at one time, and being used to a RK, I hated that bike to the core, but to each their own. Some of the sporties these days have some nice flow and schemes.

I went from a Sporty to Low and could not believe the difference had to juice up the Low just to compete. I would really have to spend $$$$ on a bagger to up the performance.

If I'm not mistaken they have had Buell heads since 2004. Mine was kicking out 82 hp after the Stage I upgrade.

79 ft. lbs. @ 4000 rpm

that is definetely b.s., just cause the spotster 1200 is faster off the line, I still would not want a mini bike as my only bike.
