Congrats on the new scoot! As to leaving her at the dealer, I guess it depends on how your dealer stores the bikes. Mine has an unheated outside storage building where they have lines of bikes, most not covered (they'll only cover if you supply it), and the dust on the un-covered bikes looks inches thick. I'd rather have my bike in my garage.

If you stored a bike at the dealer, I wonder if they would allow you to add your accessories on the show room floor. I'd be wrenching on it every day.

It's my understanding that the dealer stores the bike covered and in a heated building. The battery is removed and put on a charger for the winter. He normally charges $25 per month for this storage but it was part of the deal in buying the bike. You are all correct, it is going to be a tough winter, not being able to get to the bike. It still hasn't sunk in that I now own a new 09 Ultra.

Congrats on the new scoot. I too went from a King to the Ultra. Put 1100 mile on the first week, kinda cold but hey, it's an Ultra! Get it home ASAP so you can stare at it and get it out and ride if above freezing. Great color choice also because everyone knows that black is the fastest color!

This would be a great time to break it in! Get some Gerbing heated gear and ride all winter! I never winterize and ride every week in NJ as long as they don't salt the road. I live by the beach and last year we got no snow. Good luck on your new bike!

Congrats on the new ride. After renting an '09 EG classic recently, I wish I had bought the Ultra instead of my King. Nothing against the King. I like it alot. It just, well, with the radio and the extra storage and the dream-like handling.........You are gonna love it. Happy riding...when the weather gets better.

Glad to hear someone got a great deal on trade. Went to trade my 06 RK Classic in and they only wanted to give 13k for it. Trying to sell now for 15k. I will get the Road Glide soon I hope. Congrats again.
