I ordered it after seeing the reviews here too. Watched it for a week every day from the time my MSF class ended to test day, drilling the 3 techniques into my head and again during practice on test day. The only thing I forgot during the test was to stay calm-I was so nervous. Cone weave was a breeze for me because I kept my head and eyes up and focused on one object above the last cone and did big S turns and that's probably what kept me from failing! (Got 8 out of 11 points).

Here's a few tips to put your mind at ease about dropping the bike. First, put heater hose on the crash bars and tape them up. Take the bags off when you practice. Practice the exercises in the order you see in the dvd. Start the slow cone weave at 14 ft and work it down to 12ft as you gain confidence. When you move to the circle, start with 30ft and work it down to 24ft as you get better. Don't use markers for the circle, simply paint white spots on the ground at 30ft, 26ft, and 24ft. Have a friend watch as you circle so he can tell you if your inside the spots. Remember your bike turns in less than 18ft so 24ft gives you 6ft to scew up and still be in the marked area. My class is the exact course you see on the dvd. With an average of 14 students, one will tip their bike. By the end of the 4 hour course, all the riders can complete the exercises, most, without hitting a cone, using the 24ft rule. The vast majority of riders who take my course have ridden many years but can't complete one exercise when the class starts. Four hours later their breezing thru it.

Thanks for the great recommendation! I ordered the video as well. Thought you had to be a police officer to get that kind of training!

Just ordered my copy. I don't have any problems picking up bikes, but I am always up for learning new tricks and tips. Thanks for the link.

I know this is an old thread but I had to comment. I ordered the DVD on Friday, it arrived on Tuesday. That's pretty outstanding service. One thing I was impressed with was the package had a hand written address label. Jerry could have easily typed out a label on his pc but to me it was a personal touch. Seems like we've all become just a damn number to most companies. Thanks for a good product, Jerry.
