I bought the RK Chrome High Bars for my 06 RK, BEST $60.00 I've spent.

+1 on that. Best money spent so far. And they're chrome!

Default FLHRS bars

Check out a Road King Custom if you can find one. It's pull-back Beach Bars are narrower than most beach bars and fit me well. Once I threw away the front turn signals (they are monted on the bars on a Custom), I could lower them to where they just clear the tank. Extremely comfortable for me. I put a set on my Brother's RKC and he loves them, too. And they only cost about $96, I believe.

I've got the RK Custom bars on my Classic. Don't cost much and you can use all your stock cables and brake lines. I find them to be very comfortable, but every leg, arm, ***, and seat make up a new combination. Try sitting on a Custom and you will get a feel for them. Bonus...... they look cool!

Another vote on the Road King chrome high bars. They fit without any modifications to the cables or hoses and made a world of difference over stock. A buddy has the Heritage bars on his and they are also a nice alternative.

03 FLHRCI with Wild 1's 508's and deep bucket solo Sundowner. Puts you where you want to be. Very comfortable IMHO! Went with 4" longer cables. Expensive, but really good quality and real "beefy" looking!

Swapped the stock RK bars for Heritage bars, also. Only problem for me is when I'm stretched out on the highway pegs it's a little bit of a reach, but it's not a problem once I get adjusted. Rode from Atlanta to Daytona and back in October...no problem

Poultney,

I have a set of 08-09 Heritage bars for the RKC for sale, if you're interested. I purchased them, not knowing that they weren't ideal for people with long-ish arms (like me). I took them off 2 days after installing them... They do allow you to sit more upright, but I actually prefer leaning a little forward.

If you're interested, I'll let them go for a pretty reasonable price. They're in new condition, and are a breeze to install.
