Default Caught someone trying to steal my bike this morning!!

Have you ever been awakened at odd time thinking somethings wrong? I swore I heard the doorbell at 3 a.m. I went to look out the window and see someone messing with my bike. I grabbed some clothes, woke up my buddy "Glock", and started to pray as I opened the door. This is the sort of thing that happens when you get lazy and don't put bike in the garage. Nothing was damaged except for my faith in believing I live in a "safe" neighborhood. This was a good wake up call!!!

I had something similiar happen once when I lived in a condo. I woke up for no reason at 4am in morning and looked out my 2nd story window and someone was at my truck door trying to push the lock in with a screwdriver! I was half asleep so first thing I did was bang on window. He heard me and took off and by time I got downstairs he was gone. Must be some kind of 6th sense that waked us up.

Did you shoot him in both knee caps, or just one?

Lucky for you, you woke up. Would've been a real BAD day if you hadn't. This time of year, not to mention the state of the economy, The bad guys are coming out of the woodworks. Our neighborhood has had a huge spike in burglaries and car break-ins. Keep 'em locked away if you can.

As far as the Glock, I read a post here about a guy that has a laser on his grip and all he needs to do is light it up on the Bad Guy. "Poof", they're outta there!. Last week, here in Texas, a Homeowner saw someone breaking into his truck...shot him and killed him. With our Castle Law, it's happening more and more.

Stay safe!

Unbelievable! I'm glad you at least had the presence of mind to put some clothes on. I can only imagine that image had you not made that pit stop. I could just picture it. Running frantically out the front door, nekid .... with your "glock" half cocked .... And your gun too.

lesson 1, if your German Shepherd Barks at 4am for nothing and there in the house, something is up....

I Let her out the front door and she circled my truck about six times.. went out and my overhead monitor was half pulled down.. the bark spooked them away...
I'm teaching here how to hide in the truck...

I have a Crimson Trace laser sight on my Glock. That little red light would surely get some attention in the middle of the night if someone were messing with your bike. You are right about the castle doctrine, it changed how you can protedt yourself and others.
