Default 103 Big bore kit

I just did the 103 Stage II kit. I know many here have said that the improvement is not significant with the kit, but I found especially low end power to be substantial. Also had Chrome Pros do my stock wheels on the '09 Street Glide. As soon as I get my camera problems resoved I'll send some pictures along.

Only the ones who haven't ridden the 103" Stage II step up to say how insignificant it is. When you get nearly, at, or over 100 ft/lb's of torque right before or at 3K RPM with this kit and stock heads, it's pretty significant from a stock 96". The 255 cams are the perfect bagger cam for a bike with stock heads as well.

Folks say there's insignificant differences in the 96" to 103"..??

Hmmm...maybe they're talking about the 103" kit that is minus cams. My friends '08 flhx is a 96", with SEAC, and Pro-pipe, SERt and when he drives my bike, 103(with 255's), SEAC, Bub7 slips, SEST...he's amazed at the difference in the power and response at all levels of the RPM range. And I agree, when I'm on his bike it feels responsive and quick ( the 96" is no slouch), yet the 103 feels more aggressive and powerful.

I like the 96's tuned in...they're strong and responsive. I think the 255/103 kit though is just more of the same...stronger and more responsive..

Can ypou get back with MPG before and after? This is only thing stopping me right now, like to 200+ miles per tank. Also thinking about tuning options.

I Agree 110% with this statement from GliderXXX.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my bike after the 103" Stage II Kit was installed.
Way More Low End Torque than before, Bike Dyno'd @ 86 HP & 100lbs Torque.
Stock Heads.
Black On!!

I had the stage II 103" kit (now stage IIII) and I must be lucky because mine dyno'ed out at 89hp and 105lbs on 3 diifferent occasions.
Anyone who says it's not worth it is Wrong......

MPG does not suffer. With the TTS Mastertune, you can set it up a bit lean for cruising. It's tuneable (Doh!).

When do you get 200 miles on a tank, moderate hiway cruising?

Around town I usually get about 36-38 MPG; in the Ozarks, two-up, I can get 48-50, but I rarely go over 60MPH on the backroads.

MPG is all in the right wrist.

This is great news, as I am having the 103 Stage II Kit w/255 cams installed this month on my 2008 Ultra Classic, with the addition of SE heads.

Get 200 + highway city, 240+ on long range rides now, I am a pretty agresive rider ( as much as you can be with the stock motor). Last bike did the SE 103 with HQ 500 cams, Tmax tuner, MPG dropped to 28 mpg, 07 RKC, loved the power and tq but did not like stopping every 120 miles to gas it up. Now have a 09 UC with beaucoup range and 6 gal tank.

My mileage increased from average 38 mpg to 41 mpg with the stage 2 and SE-255 cams. On a 3,000 mile trip this summer I averaged 43 with a low of 38 and a high of 48 mpg.
