Default Stock '09 Pipes-Yes or Not

I happen to like the sound of the 09 pipes. Crack a bit when opened up, yet quiet enough to sneak out for a ride at any time of day. Not obnoxious, yet still let someone know you are on an HD.

What do you that are fortunate enough to have an '09 think?

Much better than previous years, I am thinking they are almost perfect.

Default I like them!

I like the stock pipes, I have no reason to change them at this point. Never say never, it may happen one day but for now I'm leaving it stock.

Same here, not changing anything. I'm not a hot-rodder and don't like loud pipes, so factory will be just fine.

Just installed a set of Bub 7 slip-ons. Louder than stock, but not obnoxiously so.

I was beginning to like the way my 08 sounded after it got over 1000 miles, but I had already made up my mind to change everything so I went ahead and made the switch. I probably wouldn't switch at all if I had an 09.

Is your bike a Cali bike with a cat in the header, or an AZ bike with an open header?

It's amazing how much better the '08 49-state bikes sound than the Cali bikes. I'm sure the same is true for the '09's... But if the catalyst equipped bikes sound good then cool!

I picked up my '09 Street Bob from a dealer in Pensacola, Florida, while visiting my grandmother. Carried it back home to NC on the back of my truck. Got it off of the truck, rode it up the driveway and into the garage. Removed stock exhaust, replaced it with a set of Bub Jug Huggers that I'd ordered ahead of time and had waiting on me. Also did the intake kit from Fuel Moto along with a PCIII with a map they put on for me. I thought the stock exhaust system sounded really weak, but I will admit I didn't give it much of a chance.

Still breaking in my 09 UC. No plans to change the slipons.
