My best bud has a '09 Ultra, and I usually follow him when riding. I have to say the stock exhaust from my spot behind him, stinks. Might as well be a GoldWing.

He and I are much happier with his new set up. Modified CVO 4" Ultra mufflers with Fullsac's new CVO baffles.

Now it sounds like a Harley, but not too loud or obnoxious. And they are radio friendly.

I found them to be too quiet for my liking. I put V&H Basic slip ons with the stage one AC on mine. It sounds so nice now I could never change it back. Just had the front and back lowered as well seeing that I'm only 5' 7". Now I have a lower center of gravity.

IMO the stock 09 mufflers sound OK, maybe just a "little" thin though. Recalling a WW1Flyingace thread, he rated the sound of some mufflers in increasing throatiness as ; stock 09's, SE 4" slip-ons, Monster Ovals, then V&H Ovals. Wanting just a slight increase I was debating between the SE's and MO's when I read Saturday Night's review of the MO's being just a little too loud for him. That swayed me toward the SE's, which I just installed. I haven't heard them yet though.
Before next riding season I will install the K&N stage 1 intake along with *some* fuel mod, leaning toward PC V at the moment but am waiting to hear from some that have lived with it for a while. There's no real hurry for me since there's another four months of depressing weather.

I can't even remember how an 09 sounds with stock cans or without.... I can remember that I like the headpipe configuration the most with that system and how pissed I am that it won't fit on my 07, at least that is what I've been told. If it did I would buy one just to reroute the pipes away from my legs......even after i have added the Khrome Works slip ons, big sucker and SERT to alleviate the heat.
