I thnk it's a michelin thing. I've had it before. Rep told me it was part of the built in process to make ya watch when the tread wear markers where getting lower. honestly...I think it sounds out too early and make ya wants to get a new tirer sooner than normal!
Make sure your brake calipers are clean and tight. A dusted-up pad or dirty cliper piston can often cause what you discribe. If the pad wobbles in the caliper it will cause a hum too.
Thanks for the replies, Just got back from riding and with the help of the hog tune speakers and the rinharts. I will just put up with it until the next front tire change.
I once had a object, some kind of a plastic thing that the tire picked up off the road and it some how got wedged between the tire and fender, made a lot of noise at medium to low speeds.
I've got the same noise. I thought it was definitely bearing related. Dealer took one look at the front tire...said it was scalloped from running underinflated...then said a new tire would fix it. I haven't changed it yet, but I'm glad to hear they were right. Thanks for the info. I'm glad someone finally figured out how to accurately describe the noise/feel so it could be posted.
