Putting nameplates on a fatbob tank
Does anyone have any tips for using those sticky adapters (61740-90T) to put a classic nameplate on a newer tank? The instructions say to screw the nameplate onto it then stick it on the tank. What if you screw up? Can it be pulled up and reapplied?
How do you make sure that they are level and in the same place on either side of the tank?

I used a grease pencil, tape measurer and a good eye.
Just remember to measure with the bike level, have heard of people doing it on the jiffy stand. Oops, well it looks good parked in front of the bar.

Good tips above. Only thing I'll add is to check out some other bikes, so get the placement correct.

It doesn't matter if one side is higher or lower than the other...you can't see both sides at the same time anyway. Ask me how I know.
