Dealer Invoice 2009 RK

Dew Me So it sounds like you're saying you bought a 2009 Ultra in Black Pearl for less then 19,500 was there by chance a 3000 set up fee or 15 percent interest financing involved? You should scan in your invoice so others could take that into the dealership when they go to purchase. Sounds like you got a really UNBELIEVABLE deal!
I got 1K off MSRP on my 09 Ultra.
I thought I was doing good!

Everyone says this...but what you guys don't understand is that theres 20 miles of highway and one road that goes around the island. Both are packed with traffic 8 days a week.
I'd sell my soul to live in western Montana, ride the open space, and carry my .45 again. Wanna trade?

Dealer Invoice 2009 RK
Thanx marinepilot81! I crunched all the numbers you provided and came up with this:
There is a 20% profit margin on the M/C AND the options!! I would presume that the same percentages apply to all the touring bikes, and probably the rest of the M/C lineup as well. Bear in mind, however, that profit is not a bad thing, per se, for without it, dealers could not stay in business to service our future wants and needs!

I found out a week after I bought my bike that one of my employees has an LLC in Delaware. He woulda showed me how to set up an LLC and use his address for under a hundred dollars and saved myself the sales tax. Sure wish I knew that a week sooner.
They claimed to sell more bikes than anyone else in the US of A, so they are doing something right. I would guess boutique to mean a fancy place with no showroom floor. They had a giant showroom floor. Maybe by boutique you mean the impresive Harley museum they have on sight? Or they sub shop they own that is in the same building? Which btw they bought me and my family a tasty lunch at. Or the impresive Motorclothes display? The wall with photos of the happy owners sitting on their bikes? I was very impressed with the place. You are definetely right on one count: Their prices are through the roof. They ignore MSRP completely. They don't even have a single brochure in the store, which I believe is b/c Harley puts the prices in the brochure.
I called and told them what other dealers had offered me. They gauranteed they would beat any deal but would not make a deal on the phone. They have the largest inventory and if they don't have what I want they will deliver free up to like 200 miles? I made the trip. Brought a brochure, and several pages of notes. Did ALL my homework. They tried twice to tell me what their price was on the bike and I held up the brochure and TOLD THEM what the price was on the bike that I didn't care about whatever inflated price tag they attached to it. The salesperson jockeyed two offers/counteroffers back and forth, I got my deal, they bought me and the family lunch, gave me a full tank of gas, and I rode it home.
Telling me "which I find difficult to believe" sounds aweful close to you saying you don't believe me. They did have 08s left. I don't know how much off b/c I never considered one. I can also tell you that they were recently sold so maybe that also makes a difference. The guy who owns Annapolis Harley (Maryland) bought it.
Anyone is intersted I'll tell you my salespersons name. I think they enrolled me in some sort of points program that I can redeem for parts. Wasn't really listening b/c I had no plans to return but I think they give me points for a referal. Can always use some more chrome!

You did do good. Almost everyone has to pay at least MSRP, unless they're buying the leftover models.
Thanks Marine Pilot for the invoice, to be honest, I'd just as soon not have known, (almost)
Normally the dealers won't budge, when things get even tougher they might give in a little.

Brunswick-They combined set-up and freight together for like 600 or 700 dollars I think. Don't remember. I am rarely on my home computer so I'll have to remember to look. No financing. I paid cash.
BigPig-I remember the website saying they were number one. I just looked and it no longer says that anymore. I doubt they lied completely on their website. Number one for a month? Last year but no longer? A single location? All locations together? He owns 3 Harley dealers. Or maybe they were lying. *L* I've heard things about Bruce Rossmeyer and even saw something on TV recently. It makes logical sense he would be number one.
