I had a H-D reach seat on my softail that was a little hard. The reach seat for my Street Glide is not hard at all and very comfortable on long trips.

I also had a Corbin for my softail that got me even lower than the reach seat. I should get a custom ordered Corbin for my Street Glide in next week. They are not soft but are contoured to fit your butt and give support. The classic solo on my Heritage was great on long rides. I'm hoping I'll have the same experience with my touring bike Corbin classic solo. I prefer the Corbin back rests to Harleys but you really have to sit/ride a seat before you can decide what is comfortable to you.

Cabbage,
For an extra $75.00 Chuck can modify the seat up to two inches.

+1 with C & C, I bought the "Plain Solo". Beautiful seat, 1" lower, about 1/2" back, great, tight fit. Chuck is great to deal with, took his time with me, answered all my questions. Nice, comfortable ,at a good price.
+1 with Alan at Mean City Cycles. He built me a custom seat off a modified seat pan 2+ years ago. Also great to deal with. Quality work, comfortable seat at a good price.
My experience with both these guys was excellent, I don't have any interest in there business other than knowing quality when I see it and, more importantly, when I sit on it.

ShooterSteve,

Don't know if you made your decision yet, but I'll add another +1 for the "Reach" seat from MoCo.

Put one on right away after getting mine home from the dealer. Pretty danged comfortable, and the pass. pillion seemed to be more padded than the factory seat. Added benefit for the passengers, so I've heard.

Oh yeah... It was a better price than the others too. Odd statement for any MoCo products, but it was the exception.
