I lowered my front with the Harley kit because I lowered the back and really like the way it handles. My son lowered his SG 1" because he went to a 21" tire. He used the Progressive kit and likes it too. If your rear shocks are stock height, you probably shouldn't lower the front.

Would have to agree if your rear is stock you might wanna lower that too. As far as any technical reasons or advice I have none but love the looks of it. Kinda gives the bike a "slammed" look to it.

Want to make the frontend feel more like a performance frontend?
Look at the RaceTech setup.

Did you replace the air shocks with the progressive kit in the rear of the SG? Or did you use the progressive kit on the front? Or both?

I want to lower my new SG also.

I lowered mine with Progressive 1 inch up front and the rear I sent to Phoenix Custom/Bragger Brace and he lowered the rear 1 inch for the slam look. Ride's great and still have the air shock in the rear to adjust the ride.

Good luck
