Not sure why anyone hasn't mentioned a big shaggy beard, full-face helmet, and a bike with a full fairing (I ride a BMW in the winter.) Rode to work one day last winter when it was 3° (three, not thirty) and my face wasn't even close to being cold. Feet, yes, a little bit.

The HD Neoprean works great. Keeps the sting off your cheeks and nose.
Only problem is it does not breath well although there are nose and mouth openings. My goggles tend to fog a bit at red lights as moist warm air escapes out the top.

Otherwise outstanding. You don't have to pull it over your head. A bacalava tends to make my hair stand up after removal. Looks a bit silly to my co-workers who already think I'm insane to be out riding in the cold.

How do you guys keep you face warm?
I got a great lead from GAgirl. Try Schampa.com. their fleece lined mask is great, and the selection is large. I like the mesh part for the nose so you can breathe!

the one thing I have trouble with is the inside of the sheild tends to fog up.I keep it open just a hair to get some ventilation.but as stated a full face sheild is the only way to go,for me.

I have the Schampa one also. I love it and don't even wear a helmet. The wind doesn't blow through it.

$2 bandana from walmart. ride year round, as long as I have it to cover the exposed skin, my face doesn't get cold.

I've had a Schampa for the last 3 years and works great. The coldest I've ridden has been 15 degrees, and all I've had on was that and my half helmet. No issues with my face getting cold.
