RC Components Czar or Renegade Aspen

Johnkn - did your fender require any adjustments to fit that 21"? My local dealer seems to feel compelled to "pull rank" on me anytime I talk about putting a 21" on my bike. They immediately begin talking about an aftermarket fender. They talk about the potential for "creasing" should a small rock/stone get picked up and run through the fender. I guess I can't really understand how an aftermarket is somehow going to be able to avoid rocks/stones any better than my stock fender. Has anyone else heard about this? I can't help but think they are trying to add a bit more to their bottom line by mandating an aftermarket front fender... BTW, I realize I may need to make a mod or two to get the stock fender to work - you've all opened my eyes to this potential a few posts back...
My dealer told me the same thing, I know there are many guys running the stock fender by opening the rear mounting holes and tilting the fender forward, but it's still a tight fit. The front fender on the red SG above is a Klock Werks fender made for a 21" tire, it has more tire clearance than the stock fender in the 9-12 o'clock area. I lowered the front end 1" to get it back to the stock height, and I removed the engine guard to avoid any contact with the fender.

The fender issue really varies depending on the tires run. I have seen several running with stock fender with no issues, others need to adjust. I unfortunately, am unable to go 21 on mine and will have to stick with an 18 front as I lowered my fender by over an inch, and I dont want to redo my fender just to clear some bling. There are also a few companies that make bracket kits to obtain this. Unfortunately I cant think of where I saw it off the top of my head. May have been on Bagger nation or something along those lines. Could have even been the company I bought my fender brackets from on Ebay.
