Default air cleaners - tossing the football

im not a fan of the football cover. i have the s/e guts inside, what other covers are my options. for one the football sticks out so far my leg is always on it, dont know if there are some cover options that solve this? perhaps just a round cover?

Really? You mean just a plain round cover? Like the Evo's? I kinda like it cause its the TC cleaner.

Search for the "dyna under 50 buck" thread.... it has a good write-up on how to take a cooking pot / lid, and modify / paint it and use it as a cover.... its actually pretty cool!

Myself, I currently bought an after market JD cover (Jack Daniels)... cuz I collect JD stuff.... will probably finish the JD enhancements to the bike next year!

What are you doing with the football cover, I like it and a spare would be good.

I bought the HD Smooth Air Cleaner Cover, #29153-07, and I am digging it. I also bought the matching horn cover.

Here's what I did.

Start off with a Smooth Air Cleaner Cover (part number 29153-07)

Then you can attach any of the "Air Cleaner Trims" and have a round custom ac cover fairly cheap. It looks like a perfect fit to me.

For an example I used "Chrome Flames Collection - Air Cleaner Trim" (part number 29430-06)

I run a SE intake, open K&N filter with a custom insert.

I planned on getting rid of the football from the start. Then I found this insert from skullmanonline.com. Once I had it in place I liked it. Get questions about it all the time. Just an idea.
