i use the nostalgic one that has the bar and shield embossed,or imprinted into its surface, and it looks really great to me. sure looks better in my opinion than the football. you'll need the gasket that keeps it from spinning though. just a thick gasket that sticks to the inside of the round cover and friction when you tighten the center screw to the cover keeps the cover from spinning. otherwise the cover will almost act as if it's on an axle and can spin out of verticle/horizontal with vibration. good luck.

Got my stainless cover on e-bay a few years ago for about $25 (can't find the name of the place). It just mounts right on top of the SE filter. I still have my football for cross country riding.

Okay, I dislike the football too, but the round HD Billet cover shows the guts, plastic and tubes behind the cover... how do you get around that. Running a Zippers High flow, and it's a great filter...

I just installed the ARLEN NESS BIG SUCKER STAGE 1 kit on my 07 EG and want to replace the football with HD Smooth Air Cleaner Cover 29153-07. Anyone know if this will work?

I rebuilt an S&S tear drop for mine. I picked it up at a swap meet for $5 and made it work on the EFI. I love it, gives it that old school look and I havent seen any 07's with the tear drop.

I put on a Paul Yaffee cover. It bolts on over the stock or screaming eagle air cleaner. I like the look and additional air from the front vents.

I replaced the football with a high air flow kit from Harley. I had to buy a complete kit to get all the hardware for the backer plate including the tubes. Then I had to buy a chrome backer plate. Then I had to buy the cover that I wanted. I think I paid about $100.00 for the kit and about $50.00 for the chrome backer plate and about $50.00 for the cover. So, all in all I paid about the same as you would for the Arlen Ness kit.
