Well guys/gals. Christmas went off without a hitch. Grandpa and Grandma loved the picture. I have some pictures of them holding the framed picture and one of them, wife and I and sister-in-law and brother all together. I will try to get them uploaded this afternoon. Talked to Grandpa a little bit and the bike is definitely a '41. He bought it slightly used with only a couple hundred miles on the clock for a whopping $400.00. He said he'd give anything to have that bike back today. He also said he had the bike and only rode for 5-6 years. He sold it shortly after they got married. He was pretty excited when we told him we wanted to sit down with him and get some more detailed information from him so we can send the pictures into Enthusiast Magazine. Funny thing was when I handed him the gift bag, without even looking he said "I know what this is". I said "what?" He replied "This is that picture of us on the bike". Then when he pulled it out and actually saw what it was, his eyes lit up like a kid opening the gift of all gifts on Christmas. It was priceless and so very worth it.
Well, I wasn't able to get the best picture of my Grandpa when he opened it as a relative moved in just as I took the shot. But I do have some from afterwards...
Very cool and very classy. We have been looking for a pic of my grandfather's bike from long ago to do the same thing with my father, brother and myself. Cannot locate the pic. My grandmother thinks it got thrown away. Boo

Good luck finding it. Hopefully it will turn up. It was well worth it.
