Whoever designed the standard issue seat for the 08 roadies flubbed the dub for sure .. They need to be tooken out back and flogged ..

Got a DeepBucket Sundowner 52093-08 on sale , and it is what a seat is sposed to be ..

Knowing my luck next week they'll come out with a new 08 version of the RZ ..

 

On sale for how much and where? I need one for my 09.

I installed the Sundowner seat also. It's a big improvement of the stock SG seat and it's not even broken in yet.

 

Dealer here , was $330 with tax .. Got it for $284 out the door .. Was a one weekend sale during an open house ..

I did the same thing on my 08 Roadie,makes a big difference.

 

i have the seat off a 09 flht that i talked the salesman into swapping onto my 08 flht to make the deal .. looks friggin identicle to the sundowner deep bucket rt down to the stitching?

 

Does the sundowner sit you in the same position as your stock seats?

 

Depends on which stock seat your comparing. I believe a stock RK Custom seat is pretty low. On the other hand, when I swapped out my EGS seat for a Sundowner, I swear I dropped 3 inches. I used the windshield as my guide for how far down I was sitting. Loved the comfort also.

 

Comfort on that sundowner is great. My wife complained on the stock Road Glide seat but loved the sundowner.
