I've gotta 30 inseam, Lowered the rear 1", put a C & C solo seat on it and I definitely feel like I'm in the bike. Lowering just the rear helps with that.

I will make the RK ride like a SL. Then I will have the best riding bike and the best looking bike.

As far as lowering it, I'm 6' so high is not the problem. I want to fit "in" the bike like I did with the SG.

You'd be hard pressed to tell the difference from any pic I could show you. The shocks are 1 in. lower side by side, but on the bike there's little difference. But it was just enough to make me more comfy in the saddle.

Bobros, you may want to go with an air ride. Personally, I'd just get a different (taller) set of bars to give more of a rake look to the bike, since your 6'. The bars made mine much more comfortable, now I don't lean forward. I don't know who designs these bars for the bikes, but they must have looooooong arms.

I think that even if you lower the Road King and put a different seat on it, you will not get rid of the feeling of sitting "on the bike". IMO, only a softail will give you the feeling of sitting low in the seat. I currently have 2 touring bikes and 1 is a Road King, lowered 1 inch in the front and rear with a Corbin classic solo seat. I recently sold a CVO Springer and didn't really understand the feeling of sitting low in the seat until I had that bike. I don't think that you can make the Road King seating position feel like a softail no matter what you do.

Here's mine lowered 1-1/2" in rear and 1" in fron, with Street Glide seat. 30" inseam and I'm flatfooted when stopped. Feel great!

Try a lowering seat... Harley makes them.
