I have now ordered HD Lowers (in vivid black because everyone knows they are faster and more streamlined), a set of HogTunes speakers with amp, and now the glove boxes, all for my '06 Road Glide. I have searched everywhere and continue to see everyone discussing the fact that these speakers will not fit these boxes due to a difference in box size. Has ANYONE solved this problem as of yet with Harley Lowers ??? Can these glove boxes be modded to house the HogTunes speakers ??? Any help would be appreciated.

They can be modded, not real hard but it is forever, no going back! Dang I'm gonna have to snap a few pictures of them in the glovebox's on my 05 Road Glide.

 

Yes.You can fit 5 1/4" speakers in the boxes.I mounted mine in the bottom and Gilbo mounted his in the front.
Going to be changing mine to the front also.

As far as I know,no one is selling after market speaker boxes for the Road Glide lowers yet.

 

Thanks for the reply guys. Pez at Hogtunes wrote me a few times yesterday and we really exhausted options I have. Great guy who really takes the time to try to meet your needs. As a result, I decided to cancel my order on the hogtunes amp and speakers for the lowers and stick with my Hogtunes fairing speakers for now. Still receiving the lower set and glove boxes though. I have a trip planned along the Cali coast for June and the extra protection should make the long miles easier. Thanks again for all of your input. Hopefully, soon someone will enter a box into the mix for us RG owners.
