Ignition switch
#11
I'm glad I stumbled upon this... I did the same thing as I am getting my fairing and inner fairing painted. I let the HB roll to the left and they locked. I was having issues turning the tumbler with the screwdriver, so I went with a little bit of thought... I put the **** back in, it only went in the lock position, I pulled up a tad bit, and turned it to the OFF position. I figured the spring would have something to do with it, so I gave it a shot. HB are now in the unlock OFF position, but I cannot remove the **** which is OK with me. It can stay there until I get ready to put everything back together again.

Instead of messing around, get this inexpensive tool and you will not have to worry about screwed up ignition switches when you remove the switch ****.
