For the past 15 years No Garage and other times in the past I only cover when I know it is going to snow...Live in NJ and do ride all year...I find that covering builds too much condensate and it is not really that hard to keep em clean..both bikes I have here look better than most that have been stored indoors and covered. the only mistake I made on the
06 Glide is not covering the inner fairing the crap black paint job they give it fades easily due to uv (no protection) but no big deal I just will have to repaint it this spring.

A buddy of mine has the Bike Barn and loves it. Pretty sweet alternative to a cover.

If I had to park my bike outside in plain vue, I wouldn't want to advertise it as a Harley. I would use a cover with no logo.

Just my 2-cent.

His real problem is the salt air. You really need to get something better than just a cover if you can or at least try to park it away from the wind like next to a building when covered.

Use a Gold Wing cover, thieves will leave it alone......
I do have a Nelson-Riggs extra large that works well too.

Not much snow here in outback Australia for me to test it personally but if you look in the testimonial section of the bike barn site, there are photos of them covered in snow and people seem very happy with how they held up.
