Default Chrome fork lowers

I have a 2005 Ultra with the left fork cartridge. How big a deal is it to swap out the lower fork sliders? I have the manual and am fairly mechanically inclined. Are there any tricks? Is complete fork disassembly required? Thanks in advance.

Ultra Ka$$ic posted a thread a couple of months ago describing with details and pictures his chrome lowers project. It was very articulate, and I think it'll answer all your questions. Just do a search and I'm sure you'll find it. If not, try to PM Darren, and he'll jump in and offer any answers you may need. Hope this helps.
