Default Best Center Stand

I want to add a center stand on my 09 UC. I am looking for recommendations and past experiences. I saw a recent post about a stand from Wheeldock. That one is a fixed lenght stand and if I lower my bike in the future I will not be able to use it. HD has an adjustable stand but I hear it is a pain to install. Need some advice - Thanks

Default Wheeldock

I put the Wheeldock on last summer. I use it all the time and it is especially handy when loading the bags, but especially when washing the bike.

If you're going to lower the bike, I would wait to buy one. The Wheeldock site offers several choices for height.

The center stand is so easy to operate, easier than any Jap bike I ever had!

What'd it run you for the Wheeldock? How long to install?

The Wheel dock is about a 5 minute install.
How long does it takes you to screw on two nuts and tighten?

It is not adjustable though.
If I had to do it again, I would buy the adjustable HD one.

Wheel dock: $289

HD: $329.95
HD part number: 91573-06

Zanotti HD will sell it for $276, plus $19.79 S&H, for a total of $295.79

If your SURE your going to lower your bike, you could buy the lowered Wheeeldock and just put a piece of plywood under the stand when you use it to make up the difference until you lower the bike.

+1 on Wheeldock. Absolutely great product and I use it all the time. Others that have Harley's have purchased this stand due to seeing mine. The install was maybe 5 minutes and I use it a whole lot more than I thought I would. Wife loves it as well; I'll back out of the garage set the center stand, plop down the passenger rests and she climbs on the bike and it firm and steady for her.

Had Rivco stand - eglidegoodies.com. Worked well and liked it because it was the least conspicuous when folded up/riding position.

Did not like that it would drag/scrape in turns.

Still have it - off bike because put on Baker + 1 pan. Rivco stand and Baker pan do not fit together.

Been thinking of getting one for my Ultra as well. Mostly to use when around other bikes so it doesn't take up as much room. How much easier is it to tip the bike over when it's on the stand if some knucklehead nudges it?

I have the Rivco stand for the lowered bike even though my bike is standard height. It works nice but does not lift the tire very much, maybe 1/4". It would be nice if the arm that you stand on to lift the bike was a little longer for more leverage. The amount of pressure to lift it on to the regular stand was too great for my taste.
