I think the bottom will be around $12-$15 a share, and at that point they will become the target of a hostile takeover by either Honda, or Kawasaki.....will they survive that challenge?....anyones guess...but it don't look good....when shares drop that low in a company strange things happen....

They closed today at 11.90, not 10.99.
And last week they were at 18.... and 26 the week before, and 18 the week before.
ALL STOCKS are jumping around!
As far as how low they will go? The market is selling 10 buck shorts for Dec 1st. Can they recover from that? Maybe...
Remeber, they have HUGE amounts of bad credit risk loans out (like the mortgage brokers).... but it is easier to repo a bike than a house...
Folks, if you aren't watching it (HOG Stock) all day long, plus if you haven't done your homework.... don't buy OR sell. Cause you will get into trouble.
They (the MOCO) could recover quick, or slow, or never.... or they could just float at the low price for years (recession / depression keeps people from buying bikes).... or they could take off (gas prices increase AGAIN, people buy bikes to get better MPG... ETC!
I have MY plan in place, and I will make money... no matter what happens.

Sorry for the misquote on the stock. I don't know what I was looking at. I was short 1000 shares the other day at $17.79. Got out at $18.10. Wish I was still there, I would have made about 6 grand. Wish my crystal ball worked as well as my Road Glide. I was reading an old article about the Honda takeover dated last summer. The article said it was doubtful because of the problem of getting the deal past the FTC because that would give Honda 62% of the market in the states. T.

Compared to Bank of America, GM and Ford they look pretty good except for the fact the Feds aren't likely to bail them out. I'm betting they have enough cash on hand to weather this storm. We all know they make a big margin on the bikes and accessories they sell. I expect a lot of smaller dealers won't make it thru 2009.

With the stocks all over the world doing some crazy things, it is fun to watch (if you arn't ready for retirement). With stocks this low, I have been buying a couple every now and then. I figure for the price of going out for a night, I can stay in with a cheap bottle, and spend the rest on a chance for a good return.

I don't mind watching my stock go down in smoke and fire, but this is getting pretty rediculous. I actually would like to buy some more. . but really unsure where they will bottom out. I believe they will weather the storm, but not well. Now there stock might be downgraded. . .that will hurt some more. . .
