Default Good deal or not?

Here it is.....
2009 Electra Glide Classic, Sunglo Red, Cruise Control, ABS, Security System for 21,763 out the door -- that's everything tax, license the full deal. They were asking 20,999 for the bike and dropped it to basically 19,900. I see the bikes sitting week in and week out and the economic news looks crappy -- I'm thinking I can be out the door for more like 20,000 in a couple of months. What do you think??

Thanks!

I think it's yer call. Personally, ah'll be lookin' for the dealers to reduce stock, and not be bringin' units in if sales slump. That means someone else might walk in, see a screamin' deal an' ride out with the bike ya wanted. Do you think the dealer is gonna be eager ta bring another bike in like it to sell it below book?

If ya do, then lemme know - ah've got a ski resort in Texas fer sale.....

If you don't need the bike now I'd wait. The DOW took another sharp decline yesterday. I'd bet we'll see lower prices as the economy can't keep going where it has been.

Pretty good deal on an 09 if you ask me. If you like the bike and you like the price, ride it home. Kinda like betting that you might get a better deal. I concur with Redneck, they probably aren't going to be loading up so they can sell them cheaper...

I think if you can hang in there, there will be better deals to be had closer to the first of the new year. HD stock has dropped 70% already this year and they're predicting it to drop more, maybe to under $10 a share before year end. I just think they'll be scrambling to reduce stock and get the cash flowing in another couple of months, with lots of really good deals on bikes. I think you can get a much better deal, maybe under 20k if you wait. JMO

Thanks for the info -- dealer called me today and offered it at 21,000 out the door -- dropped another 763 off the price so I'm basically at 19,380 for the bike. I will give this some more thought and time -- but I have to wonder where the prices might be come this January. I'm still thinking I might be able to walk out at 20K. But is 1K worth it for the fun I'll have in the meantime?!?!

I paid more than that in '06. Do it, you're missin' out on the fun if you wait.

The thing is if you wait til january then other guys will be starting to get spring fever and the deals usually go away for bike sales in the spring, what with folks getting tax returns and stuff.
