Ok This is what I did, mind you all that there was all ready an oil leak that I was trying to fixed by just tighting the bolt using ft/lbs instead of in/lbs ( my screw up). So we dropped the pan and removed the bolt. Now since there was already and oil leak I will clean up my mess an take the girl to the dealer to repair the oil leak correctly under warranty. My screw up fixed.

Now would I be wrong in doing it this way?

Another possibility is that the torque wrench was/is screwed up. You said you were checking it for proper torque @ 120 inlb. So I assume you were using a torque wrench. I myself have broken bolts before torqueing them to "proper torque" only find out my torque wrench was screwed up. I haven't read one wrong yet. But have had two that for whatever reason were no longer calibrated. Had to get one repaired and had to replace the other one. Just another thought. Maybe the bolt was already stress cracked and lost it's tension which is why it started to leak in the first place. By checking it tight, you simply finished the break on an already defective bolt.

I don't think it was the torque wrench this time. It was this dummy (me) that was using the wrong torque wrench. I miss read the book which said in/lb, but I picked up the ft/lb torque wrench and twist the bolt off. But now I have replace the broken bolt.

But the reason I messed it up in the first place was in hoping not to have to take my 07 Ultra (THE GIRL) to the dealer to repair the leaking oil pan. My ride is still under warranty, so would it be right or wrong to now take it to the dealer to fixed the oil leak that I should of taken there in the first place for repairs?

Again thank you

you did the right thing. Not a good policy to tell stories. I've screwed up with the in/ft before too.
