Fairing crooked

Why are you guys so hung up on dealership service. They are overpriced and most I dont trust to do my front end work. Sounds like first measure distance from fork tube at set point to a fiduciary set point on frame. Do another from lower fork tube to same fiducial. Repeat on other fork tube. Most likely not the same. Loosen bottom tree pinch bolts and hold front wheel while someone sitting on be tweaks the bars. Tighten bolts to spec torque. If it's still crooked go from there. If bars are not straight with top tree, measure it, replace absorbers. Lots of harley you by these days just have crooked fairings.
Hey all of you get a factory manual and talk to us old f--ts that had to work on her own bikes, lots of them know a lot more than you dealer mechanics.
Only reason I might take it in is for an electronic problem to save time, but the manuals have full diagnostics.
Go for it brothers!
