Default AutoGem - Shotgun Lights

Are the AutoGem Shotgun lights a direct bolt on for a 2008 Street Glide? I'm wanting to put them in the place of my grab bar. The web site only talks about fitting up to a 07 Roadking.

Where is the cheapest place to by them? Anyone have some they want to sell?

I'm gonna do the same thing but I'm not clear on removing the bar from the back. Some say cut it off but I'm not sure that the Shotgun lights would bolt on like they're supposed to if you just hacked it off. Anyhow that's the hold up for me. Hope this helps.

Yeah I'm hoping that after I unbolt and remove the bar the light bracket will mount to the same holes. I found this link below and I think I'm going to add the flasher as well.

Yes, the lights take the place of the removed bar, which ties together the struts and the lower fender struts.

Beemervet,

Have you noticed any flex or anything since removing the bar?

That is a common misconception. I thought I had some, but a new tire was all I needed. The bar has no structural purpose other than a place to hang a plate.

Beemer,

Thanks for the quick response! Is that a Softbrake license plate frame?

That is a Kuryaken light bar with bottom plate mount. The frame is a $2.oo swap meet special.
