Default Tour Pak Lighting

I picked up my new 09 Ultra Classic last month. Really nice bike, but how come the tour pak lighting doesn't work? I have to pay HD extra to activate the lighting thats already installed on the bike? I heard something about a light kit adapter. But where do I plug it into the tour pak harness?- Help

Should work. If you can't find a loose connection easily by yourself, take it back to your dealer. Obviously something is not hooked up.

Sounds like the quick-connect might be loose. Is it all the lights that are out (run, brake, side LED's)?

If so, open the lid and remove the two acorn nuts that hold the map case/folder on. Slip the tour pak liner out. Look along the bottom and you'll see a pair of wires coming in the front-left base of the tour pak. One is the radio antenna and the other is the power connect for the lights. You'll see a small square connector plugged into the power lead near where it enters the tour pak. Check to see if it's plugged in all the way.

Or take it to the dealer.

It all works on my 2009 Ultra.
Must be a loose connector.
The dealer should fix without question.
If not tell them you'll give them a poor review on the survey Harley sends you.

Be sure to threaten them first thing, that always works. Then threaten them with violence and lawsuits. Let us know how it works out.
Sheesh!

Thanks guys, I'll check the power connector under the tour pak liner. The lower tail and brake lights are all working. The tour pak lenses and bulbs are all in place, but don't work as if they were never plugged in to anything thing?

Sounds like the quick-connect is not plugged in.

Thanks alot. You guys were right. The quick connect under the inside cover of the trunk wasn't even connected. I plugged her in and they work.

Now that that little problem has been removed from your head you can begin to fill it with thoughts of all the add ons you want!
