Default my '09 ultra is an awesome and well built bike when the only complaint I have....

is that the fairing lowers plastic or moulded piece (which opens and shuts to allow ventilation..actually appears - cheaply made) is vibrating with a loud and very annoying whine when decelerating...

the issue is pretty minor on the grand scale...so what a great bike overall!

curious ....anyone else experience this minor concern?

safe riding!

Nope. Mine is pretty stable, crappy plastic, but stable.

You know you can tighten them some and probably stop some of the noise. I don't hear any noise from that area on my 08 Ultra.

I agree, awesome bike! No noise problems from the vented lowers like you describe.

The only problems with mine is keeping them where I want them.
It seems that if I open them both up one or the other moves toward the closed position.
And vice versa if I close them.
Possibly just vibration causing them to shift.

Mine did that. Just tighten them a bit. Doesn't take much.

Mine are working nicely. No noise or movement. I would say it's an isolated problem with a very EZ fix. Lucky You.
